Splitting is not always a deliberate act by the individual. It may be due to others trying to usurp a part of an individual’s mind.
I was thinking about the many different places I have lived and the many relationships I have had in my 56 years and I have begun to realize they were nothing more than an acting out of the soap operas and other television my mother watched and the moving was nothing more than a reflection of the number of times she split off those parts of her mind that contained the things she viewed on television. This is also true for my father and the things he split off I acted out as well, some of his military experience, etc.
