Post traumatic numbing out or spacing out, what it looks like…

…it’s a blank stare, it looks like you are daydreaming but you aren’t.   It’s like an absence seizures.   They seem similar as during a stressful event, all sorts of chemicals are released into the synapses which help us cope with the stressful event.   I think more mature brains exhibit different responses to trauma than infantile brains or brains of persons with developmental disabilities.   I wonder if my blackout was the result of my traumas in the military I might have been recollecting on this once particular night rather than what I once thought was caused by alcohol intoxication, I have since proven to be erroneous.

This is a scene when Rizzoli was recollecting shooting herself in order to kill a suspect.
