Tell me how Janet Woititz found that children of alcoholics who avoid 12-step groups do better

…In the 80’s I couldn’t have told you why I knew the meetings were causing me a problem but once again, through reading books, I discovered it was transferences at the root of many of my slips and I proved it to myself in the past 5 years.   I stopped using drugs because of an advertisement on television which scared the crap out of me, “this is your brain on drugs”, two eggs frying in a pan.   I since learned, often it is certain drugs that actually save your brain from ending up in the frying pan.
