…I was deeply distressed to learn of his situation but more distressed that I was too late to offer assistance in his stay of execution.
It is clear to me the man was mentally ill and reasonably insane at the time of his acts. As suspicious as I am regarding the use of television to control the outbreak of violence, I was aware of the potential for the events leading to his execution to be a deterrent to such violence.
Was it real or was it made up? Was there justice served by any of those involved, the real criminals permitted to use the law, television, drugs and a multitude of chemicals to their benefit.
