…Edgar Alan Poe and one of his publishers during his time who argued that Poe’s work created a problem. They failed to act then to change things for the better, will things change now? Unfortunately it is those beneath the middle class who suffer the most just as did the East Enders in London and most of the poor in our cities in New York, Chicago and other metropolises that gave rise to gangs, burlesque, etc.
