I was a proof reader in 1983 – there was a Mike working there also who did proof reading who looks like Woollcot in the Algonquin Round Table. Looked very much like him, although the gentleman in the photo looks of Japanese origin.
Update: I think Mike became a writer ~ Pat and Mike…? Did she have an affair with the proof reader?
The blue shell I drew then found in a portrait of Ferdinand de Montefeltro with a shell in the ceiling over a woman and her child bleeding…
