This is exactly what happened to my mother too…

 .....our first washing machine was an old wringer type like this. When I was about 3 or 4 years old I got my arm caught in the wringer by putting my fingers in the wringer and it just took my entire arm through it. I had to go to the doctor and have an x-ray and my arm was put in a sling.
