I purchased glass from old frames, and paint. I was going to try using amino acids hoping to discover some sort of pattern (sand or some sort of crystal like substance?), mixing them with the paint to see what would happen. It was not a successful venture. I did not find painting on glass appealing so I went no further. I found sketching and painting on canvas more pleasing such as I dou!
