The Unleashed Mind: Why Creative People Are Eccentric: Scientific American
I once thought the brain did this. Now, after pulling together all of the information I have read from various sources, it is impossible for the brain to filter out anything unless it is programmed to do so, just as we have been programmed to permit our brains to be deceived. The brain, as Ramtha spoke in What The Bleep Do We Know, “is like the lens of a camera, it has no feelings or objections to what it is seeing”. It is only after the observation has occurred is a feeling evoked. One might choose to watch a gory film only because one has never seen it before and has no concept of what might be in a gory film. After seeing it one might choose to never see one again. This is why the Baggage Buster works so well, it trains the brain to reject undesirable baggage. The brain and mind might work in the same way if it is subjected to something it is not familiar, like a horror film.
